Permanent Memorial

On 24 July 1997 a permanent memorial was erected in Arlington National Cemetery. Paula Ponas, our current leader, had secured permission from the authorities to have the stone placed in the Cemetery. In addition a tree was planted. This took place on the exact day 50 years later from our very first Service.

The U. S. Navy supplied the Chaplain, Honor Guard and Taps. The following pictures catch the essence of the beautiful service that took place on that overcast and rainy day.
